Introductionand properties:
Alkylpolyethoxy carboxylates (AEC) are a new type of multifunctionalanionic-surfactants. The technology of AEC preparation is one of the nationalkey projects developed by China Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry(RIDCI).The general structure of AEC is confirmed to be R-(OCH2CH2)n-OCH2COONa,which is similar to soaps. AEC exhibit nonionic properties at low pHs due to apoly-ethoxy group being inserted between the fatty chain and the carboxylicgroup of soaps. AEC can be used in a wide pH range.
Good detergency, emulsifying, dispersability andlime soap dispersability.
High foam power and foam stability.
Acid and alkaline stability, hard-watertolerance, high temperature resistance, oxidants and reductants resistance.
Compatibility with general surfactants,especially cationic surfactants.
Superior hydrotroping, usage in the preparationof functional transparent products.
Non-toxic, non-irritating, and readilybiodegradability. 

Applications:
Emulsifying agents in paste cosmetic products. 
Personal care products of mild shampoos, bubblebaths, cream rinses, hand-cleaning gels etc. 
Incorporated into soaps to improve mildness, limesoap dispersability, foam properties.
Applications in household detergents?industrialcleaning and non-phosphorus detergents.
Applications in scouring, mercerization,bleaching, softening, dyeing process of textile industry.
Applications in EOR and oil transportation asemulsifying agents and viscosity reducer with resistance to high temperatureand high concentrations of electrolytes.
